Sydney

Hi everyone,

Well what a busy weekend we had last week! Lots of new fabrics ordered, ranges and pieces from Moda, Michael Miller, Disney, a new range of William Morris, Timeless Treasures, Art Gallery, Beatrix Potter, RJR, Elizabeth Studios, Jinny Beyer, new backing fabrics, Tilda, Kaufman, so much fabric, where to put it all. Some of the new fabrics will be in the shop in 10 days some will be several months

As the fabrics arrive I will put some on the blog for you to see.

This arrived before we left for Sydney it is Monsterz by Michele Brummer-everitt for Cloud 9 fabrics.

One of the great things about this fabric is it is 100% certified organic cotton.

Russell and I are back in Sydney as we start at 7 am on Monday, to set up for the Craft and Quilt fair at Darling Harbour.

We had a great day today, walking approx 11.5 km and looking at the sights.

We were on the ferry from Parramatta and look what was ahead.

Another icon! We changed ferries at circular quay and went to Watsons Bay, then walked up to South Head to the cliffs and then to Bondi.

Bondi Beach.

Enough walking onto a bus then the ferry back to Parramatta. A few sights along the way.

What a fab city to visit.

Sydney Trade Show

Hi All,

Russell and I have arrived in Sydney CBD today so we can attend the Australian Quilt Market tomorrow and Sunday. AQM is a trade only show at which we get to see all the major fabric wholesalers, who will have samples of the latest releases as shown in America two weeks ago.

Sydney was a bit hazy today, but I love visiting Sydney. I love any view of water, and Sydney has heaps.

Crossing Anzac bridge, we are nearly there.

There is the Sydney harbor bridge.

We checked into our hotel and then went by ferry to Manly to have some lunch, then a lie on the beach. While we were there we were entertained by a whale who was breaching and visible for ages.

Happy stitching
Gail B
