Hi Everyone,

What a day. I went into the shop today to photograph some of the new fabrics which have arrived!! Not to be.

At about 9.45 there was a loud bang, and the power went off. A truck had caught the power line between the power pole and our shop! So we were plunged into darkness.

Russell went and bought torches and customers were treated to a staff escorted torch tour of the shop. A big thank you to our customers who all handled the situation in good spirit.

Russell is still at the shop, he has just recently been told we are the power companies next call. 6.15pm. If you have been trying to phone us today, I am sorry but the phones were out of action also.

I will try to get the fabric photos tomorrow.

Recovery

Hi Everyone,

This last week, what I didn't tell you was that my recovery and all the chocolate was being bought in Queenstown New Zealand. Back in Feb our the 23 year old son and his girlfriend Hayley invited Russell and I to join them on a holiday to Queenstown. Feeling very privileged to be included in their vacation we all booked and waited for September 1 to arrive. After my hospital stay etc we decided I had to manage approx 8 hours to get there, so we booked wheel chairs for the airports and off we went.

This is the view we had from our apartment. Not a bad place to sit on the couch and recover.

We had a great week doing some sightseeing and just relaxing and in my case recovering.

I think I have only been in the shop for 2 days in the last 4 weeks, so I am quite excited to get back there tomorrow. I am still not up to doing full days, but will be there as much as I can.

How much new fabric has arrived in the last 4 weeks??

I will try and show you lots over the next few weeks.
