Hi Everyone,

Another pallet of fabric arrived today!

When we were in Sydney we went to the Moda distributors warehouse, so we now have some more precuts. Here are some of the jelly rolls.

Long drive home

Hi All,

Sydney show is over and we now have the long drive home. It was great to be back at a show, and seeing our regulars from Sydney out and about. After a slow start on Thursday, due to the weather 4 - 6 inches of rain the sun came out on Friday and so did the visitors. We packed up the stand last night and drove about two hours to Goulburn.

We had a bit of a sleep in this morning and didn't hit the road until 6.30. The sky is a bit grey but the road is dry as we make our way back to Melbourne. The country side looks green and the dams are all full.

We have just had some breakfast at Gundagai and are back on the highway. We have just crossed the Murrumbidgee River and it is full but within it's banks.

There is still evidence of the recent flooding.

I am really eager to get back to the shop tomorrow and start unpacking the new fabrics which should arrive throughout the day.

Sydney Craft and Sewing Show

Hi All,

The last two days we have been busy setting up ready for the show. When we walk into the venue this is what we have.

Three meters by three meters, two walls, facias, carpet a power point and a pallet of stock to unpack and arrange.

By 10 to 10 this morning this is what we had done. Due to the extreme weather the show was opened ten minutes early, so that shoppers could get into the halls and out of the rain.

We do not have the prettiest stand at the show but it is very well stocked and we are ready to help customers as best we can. If you are in Sydney and have a chance to get to the show at Rosehill stop by and say hello.

Gail's been shopping

Hi everyone,

Russell and I are in Sydney for the craft and sewing show which opens at Rosehill racecourse on Thursday.

I had to do a little shopping today!

I found quite a few bolts in this row!

And some more here.

And yet some more in this row. The warehouse manager come by and said he had three pallets loaded. That was more info than Russell needed.

We left this warehouse and went to another. I haven't told Russell yet but there is at least one or two to do tomorrow morning.

All these new purchases will be in the shop next week.

Melody Miller give away

Hi everyone,

Time for my give away of Melody Miller / Echino fat eighths.

The winner is Christine M. I chose Christine because I was in secondary school in the seventies and learnt to type on an old manual typewriter doing the same drills as Christine. We had to cover our hands with an apron so we could not see the keys. I wish the aprons were made out of interesting fabrics like the ones above.

A big thank you to Leanne Beasley and Rosalie Quinlan who came to the shop yesterday to share their wonderful knowledge and skill with us.

Bye for now

Leanne Beasley

Hi everyone,

Only two sleeps to go. Below are some of the sweet broderie fabrics that Leanne has used in her mystery quilt. We have complete fabric kits available, if you haven't started the mystery quilt. Come in on Saturday and Leanne will have some of the blocks to show you.

On Saturday we will have several in store specials so come in and see what bargains you can purchase.

Last Sunday we had a stitching day with Rosalie Quinlan as a belated Christmas event for our staff.

Rosalie had designed a new cute little bag which we sat and stitched as we chatted and ate! We had a good day. Here is a photo of a couple of the bags.

We have the patterns in store and they are only $4.50 each. We also have fabric kits in assorted colours available.
